It has been a very stressful and worrisome year, so I can’t really say that any of us will be sorry to say goodbye to 2020 and hello to a fresh start. But before we do that, there are still many cherished holiday memories to create with friends and family. As difficult as this year has been, the silver lining for me is that I was reminded how much my friends, family, and this community mean to me. When we were faced with the hardships of the COVID era, we all came together, joined forces, and showed a kindness that shined. I love what I do for many, many reasons, but these are the top ones that I want to share with those of you who put your faith in me to either buy or sell your property.
I get to Meet New People
Although Summerville isn’t really a “small town” per se, it feels very small to me. There aren’t many places where people still know one another’s names when out and about. Or, a place where a community comes together to work and play. We have been forced, out of necessity, to maintain six feet apart, but our hearts have been even more tied than ever before. Every time that I meet a new client who is buying or selling a home, I get to make a connection. And those connections last and fulfill me with more love than I can explain. This is one of the key reasons that I put my office in a coffee shop.
I get to Share in Your Hopes and Dreams
I am not going to sugar coat it, selling or buying a house is not all excitement. There are times of heartbreak, tears, and sometimes sad goodbyes to family homes and memories. But I also get to see the hopeful look of people who want to set up roots, start families, and downsize to realize their dreams of travel. A home is a very personal and emotional thing, and I am honored that I get to be a part of something so life-changing and important in the lives of those who trust me to do it right!
I get to Brag on Summerville
There is a reason why I raised my family and continue to, in Summerville, I think it is one of the rarest and most amazing places I’ve ever lived. Trust me I’ve moved around a lot. Every time that I welcome someone to the community, I get to be the representative of a place that I love and believe in. The secret that those in Summerville know is that it isn’t just a town, it is a place where things are safe. We all watch out for one another and care greatly about keeping our town as amazing tomorrow as it is today. Sure, we are all about upgrading and convenience, but we share a common goal of holding onto the tradition that makes Summerville one of the best small towns in the South and beyond.
As we head into the holiday season, I am reminded about all the things that are really important in life; family, friends, and community. I love being a realtor because I get to meet new people, share in their hopes and dreams, and hopefully find them a home where they can set up roots and grow with all of us. Hopefully, the New Year will be filled with peace, health, and happiness. And since I know Summerville, I can tell you it will no matter what is going on externally! Summerville isn’t just a place to live, it lives in all of our hearts. Happy Holidays and thank you for helping me enjoy not only what I do for a living, but living in general! Thank you for allowing me to be your realtor in Summerville, SC!
